Mr. Smith is a corporate and patent attorney and aerospace engineer. Prior to attending law school, he worked on the NASA Skylab and Space Shuttle programs. His expertise in intellectual property law extends to diverse technology applications as well as technology assessment for strategic planning and business development. His practice focuses on strategic solutions for technology development. Mr. Smith has been an advisor for economic development programs and assists start-ups in developing innovative technologies.

He has more than thirty years of experience in all facets of technology law and business litigation.

He is founder and managing partner at Smith Brandenburg, an intellectual property and technology law firm.
